After a decade in the creative industry and chatting with other successful creators, we realized that if we want representation, if we want to tell our stories, we have to do it ourselves. But you don't get heard by just "making the content" and posting it somewhere.

So we are banding together.

 

Founded by queer creators of color, FWDIO Studios was born in 2024 amidst the industry layoffs, cutting of DEI programs, and canceling of content with queer and/or BIPOC protagonists. As an indie studio, we want to fill those gaps in all forms of media; books, audio, and TV.​
